"Hey! You've reached Dipper's Omen, Alcaid! Sorry I couldn't pick up! Leave a message after the Ḇ̷͍͑̐ͯ̈́̚̚e̾ͭͫ҉̻̰̻̤̠̭̩ȩ̜͍̐̐̑͛ͪ̒͐e̡͍̬̭̙͔͈ͪͦͤ̆p͋͊͊͏̪͖̭̤̞"
Oscar hummed gratefully at the offered cocoa. It was the little things at this point-- like someone just bringing him cocoa when he was down.
"Lucid dreaming, huh? I'll need to try that next time, before things get bad."
He sighed and settled in next to Dipper, just wanting to savor the moment before he dove in for the much needed explanation.
"A lot of things have been happening, Dipper," he explained quietly, bolstering himself with a sip of his warm drink. "A beast came to our shores and made a mess. We knew it was coming, but a lot of Palebloods were trying to use their foresight abilities to get info before it came. I went to go help, because people in my house got involved, but all I got was a bunch of headaches from everyone's worry and fear."
Oh good, its helping. When in down, bring Oscar cocoa.
"Yeah, actually, Grunkle Stan is really good at it. If you asked him, he'd probably be happy to give you some tips."
That's probably a surprising fact, given Stan's everything, but it was true. Stan was remarkably good at navigating dreams and that was long before Deerington. Dipper picks up his coffee and sips at it.
"Oh yeah, the Leviathan, right? I heard about that. I- thought about going and helping but my powers aren't super great at scrying, either. The only time I've ever gotten something close to a vision was the corkboard mess right before Fern died."
He frowns a little, feeling some residual guilt about all that. He knew he wouldn't be of much help, and for once, he and Mabel actually listened to their uncles about getting involved in something far too big for them.
He does sympathize with the empathy overload, though and frowns.
"...I live with Ozpin, and he's been having vampire problems lately."
Oscar explained with a tired sigh over his cocoa. Knowing what was coming next, he added: "I didn't want to bother him if it wasn't urgent."
It was the same story all of the denizens of Remnant dealt with. The sense that none of their problems were really that bad was a trial that they all struggled with, in part due to the culture that they were forced into due to the Grimm in their world.
"My powers aren't that great for what all was happening with the Leviathan either, but I've been learning some Aura Sensing from Fox and I thought that this would be good practice. But, I guess it's a little hard to focus on seeing when the person teaching you is blind, huh?"
He laughed wryly at this comment, knowing full well that Fox would get a kick out of it, and sipped gratefully at his cocoa.
"Maybe I should give Lucid Dreaming a try next time. It'd be a good excuse to talk to Mr. Stan again, too."
"Right. Ozpin," Dipper says flatly and with a remarkble amount of personal restraint to not make the distaste bleed too much into his words. He does this for Oscar and only Oscar.
Anyway, Ozpin's a creep and that's fine if Oscar doesn't want to bother him.
"The reason I ask is ...Vileblood seems to have a lot of positive effects on people with Paleblood. That's actually why-" And Dipper produces a pendant from under his shirt. It's a small, dainty glass vial of green. "- I carry this. It's Mabel's blood and sometimes when I get really bad headaches, or I feel like my emotions are going to explode, wearing this makes it a thousand times easier to deal with. Maybe you should carry some, too."
And as for lucid dreaming, Dipper grins. "I think he'd really like that."

"Do you have any Vilebloods you're close to?"
